Pointy ears are good but what else is there?
With Arathi half-elf ear customisations coming for both humans and kul trans, let's consider what other customisations would expand our options for our current beloved races.
I think everyone has their own personal wishlist for what they would want to create so i’m going to go through some of my personal favourites but tell me what you would want in future cutomisations.
First up we have the Worgen when first announced all the way back during the Cataclysm expansion the fantasy of introducing playable were-wolves into the World of Warcraft was very exciting.
However when creating my first worgen characters (of which I have many) I always felt something was missing. The addition of tails would add more to that wolf fantasy and give them a more animalistic look.

Various customisation options could be added such as scruffy or smooth tails, size and colour. It would be more work but adding animations to the tail would also add to its charm.
While Worgen is not a customisation option, the ability to pick between forms even while in combat would be welcome.
When the Dracthyr were announced there were a lot of players that were underwhelmed. Even now players are calling for a thicker version of the dracthyr. Blizzard did listen and give us options for slightly bigger or smaller versions in body type however, I feel this could be built upon.

With the addition of more non-magic-based classes to the dracthyr race now would be a good time to give players a more physically menacing appearance.
The above picture gives a more drakanoid look (which is what a lot of players were calling for in Dragonflight) whilst retaining the dracthyr feel.
Next up is one of my favourites felltotem Tauren. When Warlocsk were made available to all classes we were surprised to find that the Draenei were also gaining red skin options to bulk out this new direction for the race. While this was very appreciated I have always hoped the other races would get similar treatment.
The Tauren already have a fell looking option in the felltotem.

I think that a complete look like the one above may be a bit too extreme, however giving Tauren (and Highmountain) the green eyes and fell horn/antler option may be a good compromise.
This would give a badass and interesting take on a fell-infused Tauren and considering their new warlock option this is not unheard of in the World of Warcraft.
Next up is a very simple one but an option that has personally been annoying me for years.
You can probably tell from my love for Worgen and werewolves I enjoy gothic themes, so when red-eyed Darkfallen options were made available for the elves (blood, night and void) I instantly envisioned all my vampire dreams coming true.
This has not been a problem in most instances apart from (in my opinion) the most important Death Knights.
When planning my Vampire dream one of the most obvious options for class is Death Knight, which deals necrotic damage, obvious undead lore, and even has a blood spec. But when customisation options come in they are forced into the blue glowing eye option. One cannot choose the red-eyed, pale-skinned Darkfallen option if one chooses the Death Knight class.
It may be a very small and specific gripe but it would be very easily rectified and would allow the complete introduction of Darkfallen, Blood Death Knights.

Going along with the vampire theme/look my next choice is similar: Nightfallen.
When first introduced in the BFA expansion the Nightbourne are one of the more interesting race additions to the lore. One of the reasons for this was their addiction to mana and the slow degradation to the Nightfallen when denied this addiction.
When working with Thalyssra and the rebel Nightbourne many had degraded to their Nightfallen form, I always thought this was a unique look and had undead vibes but with an elven feel.

While many may hate it and not choose this form, giving it as an option would allow for more interesting characters.
However one thing to note on this topic is that in the recent exploring Azeroth stories Thalyssra mentioned that all the Nightborne have been given the opportunity to eat from the Arcan’dor thus removing the risk of the. Nightborne degrading into Nightfallen.
While fantastic news for the Nightborne does mean my hope for a Nightfallen customisation option seems to be dead.
Last but certainly not least are mech-goblins. This one doesn’t take much explaining. We already have mech-Gnomes so why not have mech options for the Goblins?
In my opinion Goblins are a more interesting choice for mech options as their unique take on technology (mostly it exploding randomly) would allow for fun, explosive, interesting mech options.

With Goblins playing a heavy role in the upcoming patch 11.1 now would be a great time to implement this customisation option.
So those are my most requested customisation options for the current races. Is there anything I have missed? Do you agree with these choices? Is there anything you would have wanted to see on this list? Let me know on our dedicated Facebook page.
