Season 2 goals

Heading into season 2 for the first time I am going to give myself goals to achieve. I am going to try to achieve the highest level of gear I can using just solo methods.

Looking at the chart below this can be achieved via delves and crafting gear.

I will share my progress as well as any tips and help I can through this section over the coming months.

6 tips and tricks for Season 2

This week we are jumping into our next season of TWW.

In preparation, I wanted to share a few tips and tricks

  1. If you're looking for catch up gear leading into season 2, perhaps for an alt or maybe even a main that’s a bit behind, there is an easy method for acquiring ilvl 629 gear.

This is by using crafted gear.

Moving into season 2 the basic Blue quality crafting gear is getting an ilvl upgrade, meaning that using an enchanted weathered undermine crest as an optional reagent at top quality will create ilvl 629 gear.

Acquiring weathered undermine crests is most easily done by flying through the glowing orbs in the designated zone.

The only limit is the number of crests is limited on a weekly basis, but in time you can acquire enough to cover all slots.

If your not a crafter, you can still use this method by utilising the crafting order system, although this will be more expensive but if you have gold to spare, it can be well worth it.

  1. Another bonus for alts comes from the renown rewards vendors.

Renown rewards are being upgraded for season 2, at various renown levels simple quests reward valorstones and crests, now these crests are for season 2.

As renown is now warband bound this means that alts can capitalise on “free” crests from the various renown vendors of TWW.

  1. Use your season 1 currencies before they disappear

Certain currencies are being reset in season 2 and any that you still have at the end of season 1 will disappear, so you might as well use them up before the season starts.

These currencies include coffer keys, undercoin and valorstones.

It is also worth remembering that you can transfer some of these currencies to a single character to use up what you can.

  1. The Darkmoon faire is up

For this week only (2nd March - 8th March), the darkmoon fair is active, which means extra professional knowledge (to help with that easy catch-up gear) and of course a reputation buff.

This buff can help with renown levels for extra crests and valorstones.

  1. Delves are changing

While the fundamentals of delves are staying much the same there are some notable changes.

The main one being that tier 11 now gives more rewards than before. In season 1 tier 9, 10 and 11 were purely for a challenge and would not provide you with any more rewards than a tier 8. But now in season 2 Tier 11 will now award gilded crests which are the crests you need to upgrade the most top-tier gear.

So as well as a challenge there is now a reason to push your delves as far as they can go.

  1. Myhtic + is now easier than ever

I put this one last as technically it not for the completely solo player as it involves mythic+, but i thought it was worth mentioning as mythic + has become easier at all levels and more rewarding.

So if you have been put off from attempting this hard content that requires more cooperation with others, well now it has become easier so it may be time to dip your toes back in the pool if you feel ready.

Also there are now more rewards even at early levels of mythic + before the affixes come into play.

Hopefully some of these

points can help you in the first week of season 2.
